| We found the front desk staff to be generally unhelpful on a few occasions. Our room was nice but dark and had a lot of mosquitos inside. Overall, we found this hotel to be overpriced for what it offers. |

| Poor room in amazing resort on amazing beach. The annoying part is the cost of all the extras. Internet is 500 baht for 48 hours, 2 drinks at the pool bar is 500-600 baht, etc. Everything you want is a ridiculous price. Massage however is very reasonable at 300 baht for 50 mins. Overpriced considering the price you pay for extras since rooms are poor quality. |

| Had a wonderful time in Phuket. The Katathani Phuket Beach Resort was a perfect location to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. The staff was pleasant and the room was comfortable. I liked the hard mattress, but my wife likes the softer bedding. Don’t miss the breakfast buffet! WOW, such a variety to choose from. |

| Our stay at the Katathani was terrific. Initially I thought the room rate a little expensive compared with our previous holidays. Once we got there any additional expenditure was inexpensive. Beers were relatively cheap and 150 baht for some lunch was good. Laundry across the road - cheap. Eat out at night a Kata Central/Kata Beach. Don t forget to got to the After Beach Bar, up the hill the scenery on dusk is great, some bities after dark though. Hot tip- go to the beach bar at the very southern end of the beach for very cheap food and drink. Oh, if you use a lot of internet the Katathani internet deal/access is not good. Cheers |

| This hotel was very nice. Be aware that its a long ride from the airport, and the beach is red-flagged for swimming. Reception is nice and professional, and the rooms are well equipped, clean, and have great views. Staff is friendly and professional. The service in the lobby for booking day trips and excursions is handy, but remember to ask about the travel times to and from attractions, as this hotel is on the southern end of the island and you could end up in a van for 1.5 - 2 hours on either end of your excursion. Prices here are reasonable. Breakfast buffet was included and was quite good - lots of choices, quality ingredients, right temperature, etc. Dinner, on the other hand, was a disappointment. We tried the La Scala Italian restaurant at the resort, and while the drinks were quite tasty, the food wasn t. (Luckily, there s a great restaurant called Two Chefs that is a five minute, 150 thb taxi ride away - their cocktails and long drinks are not great, but their food is fantastic and highly recommended.) The spa at Kata thani resort is decent, but don t expect anything over-the-top; its adequate, but that s all. Overall rating here would be about 3 out of 5. |

| Beautiful hotel, nice room with view at the sunset in the Thani wing. Very good and friendly staff. Drinks are overpriced, so people tend to go elsewhere, and the bars in the hotels stay empty. The surrounding is very quiet, what is nice, but if you want to see some action in the evening, you have to go to Kata or further, because after 10.30 pm Kata Noi is abandoned. |

| A large well run hotel with excellent facilities, right on Kata Noi beach. The hotel has several excellent restaurants to chose from, the Fisherman s Wharf restaurant great for seafood. Kata Noi is a small bay, outside hotel several beach bars ok for lunch with several more small restaurants along the road. Kata is a 200 baht taxi ride away for those seeking more action. |

| Pros: Very nice beach, good breakfast buffet and very friendly staff.
Cons: Rooms were damp, dark and smelled like mildew. We changed rooms twiced due to this and both smelled moldly. Not worth the money at all. This type of rooms should be way under a 100 USD. Everything in the room would be wet all day long. The hotel is 15 years old and really needs to be redone (the rooms anyways). Not worth what they are charging whatsoever. |

| We enjoyed our stay very much. Staff were without exception friendly, helpful and eager to please. Hotel was excellent although our room did have a slightly funny smell. Perhaps this could be put down to the type of wood and humidity of beach front property. We would recommend the Katathani to anyone and would go back again. |

| It was a very good experience. We stayed at the Thani wing junior suites with sea view which was definately worth it. The waterfront restaurant was fantastic - great service and excellent food. The Katathani is perfectly located for a family at Kata Noi beach which is more quiet than the other northern beaches. Yet if more action is required it is only a short drive away. Definately a place we will come back to. |

| EXCELLENT!!! Grand suites, the shower head is huge and the bathtub is massive, balcony 5mt from beach. Has matress & pillow menu if too firm. Pools are great and cant fault this hotel or staff. Close enough to walk to shoppping and restaurants or taxi to phuket/patong for 400bt. Beer a bit expensive(but still ok) or can get in shop across the road for 30-45 bt per can! Tours and money exchange at hotel is good, ATM across the road. Securtiy staff watch swimmers on beach in case of rips- excellent surfing in June!! |

| Large hotel that encompasses the bay/beach of Kata Noi. We stayed in a junior suite at the far end of the hotel, which was a 2 minute walk to the pool and breakfast area. The room itself was average. Dimly lit with an airconditioner that made irritating noises at night. Bathroom and bed - no problems.
Breakfast was excellent. Buffet and everything was fresh, great selection.
The gym was adequately equiped, just. Anymore than 3 people was too crowded.
The pools are in good condition and very inviting. I would bet there are shortages of pool lounges during peak season.
I would not stay here again mainly because the rooms appear worn, the cost, and its relative isolation from the action. What does appeal is that if you chose, you don t have to leave the premises, the hotel can cater for most things. |

| Hotel is clean and beautiful on the beach. Staff is friendly and helpful. Nice and simple. The buffet nights very nice and value for money. Definately recommend it. The only disadvantage I can think of is that it is not very near to Patong beach which all major things are happening. |

| Wonderful memories at Katathani resort, thani wing.
Close to both pool and beach. Perfect when you need a comfortable break time.
They are kind,they are professional.
You can expect 5 star hotel service-mind from them. I deeply regret that I moved to patong beach spending 2 more nights, where I found poor service, resort environment at similar dollar.
100% next visit to Katahtani resort.

| The hotel was excellent value for money. Not quite on par with the truly luxury brands but at less than half the cost you will hardly notice. Forget the superior rooms. They are far from the main resort and feel more like a regular hotel than a proper resort. I had a junior suite in the ocean wing and it was perfect. A gorgeous view to wake up to each morning. Breakfast was good. The staff were very helpful and friendly. I was just on a short weekend holiday to relax and the Katathani served very well for my needs. Great pools to relax by and read. Would definetely go again. We didn t eat in the restaurants in the hotel, but found a great place called Jasmine just over the hill in the first built up area. I have been to Thailand 9 times and this was some of the most beautiful Thai food I have ever eaten. |
